Obsidian Baphomet

September 21st, 2009 | Category: Poem

~~Inspired by a dream told to me by Melissa Young Cline~~

Dagon laps the waters and the waves
Blood and fury in the froth
Underwater pantheon
Waits obsidian megaloth

She feels the weight of the water on her chest
And in this dream she finds no rest

Messianic undercurrent
Legs of iron and feet of stone
She waits upon a maiden sacrifice
Nearer coming to the throne

She tastes the blood mixed with the water
Hearing the gloom in Satan’s laughter

Crashing tempest unholy shout
Ships and wreckage all about
Broken bodies are afloat
Underneath the iron a leg of goat

Her lips turn up in frightful glimmer
All around the basest sinners

Truth and beauty flee to peace
Panic widens awakes the beast
Obsidian pantheon ever dancing
Blackest hate and necromancy

Blue is her face as she tastes tightening fear
She tries to scream but none can hear

She fears in tears for quickest succor
There is none to hear and it is not met
Cept by the baleful hateful gaze
Of dreaded Obsidian Baphomet

Cords of corruption hold her fast
This weakened breath will be her last

Cloven hoof of ebon splendor
Sharpest dagger long and slendor
Quickest entry not to error
The blood it flows unleashing terror

She feels the pain of death inside
Tenses white as her eyes go wide

Abomination and desecration
Red and thick is the blood moon water
Destroyed avenged and left for dead
Lies loveliest of Freedom’s daughters
