O to be Poseidon

August 04th, 2009 | Category: Poem

Aphrodite sitting on the stone
Sprayed by water but not alone
Sun kissed maiden o so fair
Rays of light in her golden hair
O to be Poseidon when she bathes

Energetic pulse and warmth
Her smile heats ocean waves
Her words make peace in the universe
Minutes by her side like longest days
O to be Poseidon when she bathes

Truth and beauty call her name
Apollyon flees at sight
Mornings in her loving embrace
Call forth for gentle night
O to be Poseidon when she bathes

Outside an angel descends to earth
Draped in whispers and a fog
Look upon her while you can
She has no other analogue
O to be Poseidon when she bathes
