Hallelujah

August 02nd, 2009 | Category: Poem

Worlds collide and so will ours
With a future state that we create
Parallel lost and can’t be found
It spins and spins
And we go ’round

Maybe there is a God above
As stars fall from his hand
Does he watch them in lost love?
Does he see just where they land?
Hallelujah

The night comes and the storm is close
The rope is cut and so is hope
Pitch and yaw we fret and claw
We slide and cry the jagged slope
Hallelujah

The icy rancor weakens spirit
Made the only world our whore
Love and lust and loss and fear
Cannot save us anymore
Hallelujah

Coiling hope at destiny’s door
Like a bridge to a better tomorrow
But when we descend the depths of will
All we find is coldest sorrow
Hallelujah

All those feelings merely mortal
Heaven help us if she can
When we sleep in tempest mourning
Save us and then save our land
Hallelujah
