All the Cuts They Ache and Burn

April 02nd, 2009 | Category: Poem

Infernal scream he tried to yell
Bracing torment from deepest Hell
Grasping teeth gnashing horrid
Bloody torrent rending morbid

So black his soul – the pitch of night
Fury translates unholy might
The demon twists and turns
And all the cuts they ache and burn

With all my strength but still I crack
I hold his teeth inches from my throat
Bloody plaque and stench so black
Hatred has no antidote

His jagged fangs draw blood
In perfect circles on my neck
I smell the death deep inside
I sense my demise as he opens wide

My blood trickles to his tongue
It lashes sanguine cuneiform
Spells the demon call in tissue on my chest
Tasting agony and ichor in each breathe

I struggle to wake
Fight the bindings on my soul
I thrash about my enemy
Leaking blood I yank and pull

Ancient peril oozing stench
Jaw dislocates agonizing wrench
Jutting closer ever crashing
I feel the warmth from frenzied gnashing

Inhuman strength holding position
Demonic fright crushes disposition
Vomitous pouring languid laughter
Burns my throat passing dark disaster

I pray for day – It doesn’t come
I give way fast – not the only one
I can tell others have been eaten
I see their faces tormented pleading

I surrendered to his unholy power
I thought he left me at that hour
But he clenched and the blood poured
His victim whitened on the floor
