Truth and Beauty
I see truth and beauty
In equal measures
And in that intersection
Words sign the way
To heaven or helplessness
Or both
I feel placid determination
Like the spacing in a constellation
And in that spatial devastation
Latitude overcomes magnitude
To the depths or the shore
Or both
I sense urgency and sorrow
Like wanting more tomorrow
And in that gentle persuasion
Persecution maintains its station
To the front or to the back
Or both
I see truth and beauty
Overlapped and coupled
And in that prosperous union
Urgency seems commonplace
We can now or later
Or both
