Truth and Beauty

March 05th, 2009 | Category: Poem

I see truth and beauty
In equal measures
And in that intersection
Words sign the way
To heaven or helplessness
Or both

I feel placid determination
Like the spacing in a constellation
And in that spatial devastation
Latitude overcomes magnitude
To the depths or the shore
Or both

I sense urgency and sorrow
Like wanting more tomorrow
And in that gentle persuasion
Persecution maintains its station
To the front or to the back
Or both

I see truth and beauty
Overlapped and coupled
And in that prosperous union
Urgency seems commonplace
We can now or later
Or both

She Sees Him

March 05th, 2009 | Category: Poem

Share my thoughts
Hold my hand someday
Come with me
See it all my way
Rest when I call
Sleep as I fall
Pull the world close
When time is short
Even be perverted
Or it might not even hurt
Pulsing love for her smile
If only for a bit
Or even a while
Things like this
Places spin
And it gets thick
Try to run
Or be quick
She sees your heart
Otherwise don’t start
Help me see things
By day or by night
In the dark
Or in the light
Slowly the breeze fills the air
Catching her almost unaware
Her smile indicates
She doesn’t care
Her hope overrides
When she sees him there
