Liquid memories overhead
Staining white linen bloody red
The dragon’s eyes wander far
Reflections of death and carnival

Intrepid flight and deepest vision
Soaring thoughts held to derision
Darkest fog forms indecision
All along to hold the mission

Nestled quietly in complication
She holds aloft in highest station
Peering intently into darkness
Seeking blackest aberration

I’m sick he cried as she fell of the ladder
The dragon circled
To see what’s the matter

Weakness and terror fill the room
The pain of impact
Is in full bloom

The claws explain all
And the madness grows
All was lost due to the fall

From the cradle to the grave
It is but an increment to obtain
But welcome harbor
From life’s falls and all the pain

Her gaze causes men to go insane
And hide their hope
From all their pain
To live is loss and loss again

You are the only love I’ve ever had
Red and white in a lover’s plaid
Losing you makes me so sad
Why does it all have to feel so bad?

The dragon’s eyes find all it needs
The fall it seems planted hateful seeds
Aloft and pressing ever near
All around he feels her fear

She claims him fast as she
Tears out the past and he
Won’t last long for
A heart is an inconsolable void

Desolation
Consternation
Condemnation
Aberration

How can he hide from all the pain?
What can he think to not go insane?
When can he live to live once again?
Maybe he should take A Walk in the Rain
