Missy Aggravation
I had a dream about a girl
Curls and a look like confirmation
There she is on my TV
Missy Aggravation
She gives her time
I listen to her radio station
And I give her mine
Missy Aggravation
I give her rhyme
I take her when I vacation
And she takes her time
Missy Aggravation
A smile on my face
In quiet contemplation
When she reads this
Missy Aggravation
Intentionally Flawed
My eyes are green
Or maybe brown
My soul is frayed or is it clawed
From top to bottom
I’m intentionally flawed
Intention you draw and wonder at the flaw
It’s not my intention you see
But the gods above me
What can I do but know it
And try not to flee
Words can come quickly
Too quick for thought
It’s a curse and a destination- really
But it’s what I’ve got
‘Cause I’m intentionally flawed
The truth is often difficult to swallow
And others paths are hard to follow
So I’ll go my own way- at least today
I’ll get started when the chill has thawed
I’m a slow starter- I’m intentionally flawed
If I stay up late my mind starts to wander
In quiet contemplation and often consternation I explore
Here and now and so much more
I compile a list with troubled awe
It’s long and contains my every flaw
Deep seeded fear of ignorance
Despite the presence of intelligence
If only the end were heaven sent
I’d leave now but I’ve paid some rent
Haven’t you heard? I’m intentionally flawed
I’ve gotten speed and fallen down
My feet don’t often tough the ground
But wait— when no one else is around
Do you think you hear that sound?
It’s the recitation of my sins
It doesn’t start and it never ends
I’m intentionally flawed
And so are you…
What will you do?
