Tears Like Honey
Everything she is seems supernatural
The way she moves at times is ethereal
Her words sound as falling rain
As it strikes the water’s surface
Soothing and comforting
As she utters syllables of peace and remembrance
Her smile radiates magnificence
Central to the theme of her perfection
All the birds fly in her direction
Called by the beauty of her countenance
And the fragrance of her hair
We all watch as she moves by
The wind and seas by her side
Lost among the brilliance of her soul
Pale as the moon before the sun
Darkened by the shadow of longing
She smiles at me and in that gentle glow
I see tears on her ruby cheeks
As I kiss them gently away
I know what no other may
Her Tears Taste Like Honey
