Will You Do It If I Ask You?

December 20th, 2008 | Category: Poem

Frenzied gnashing so distracting
Pulsing fear is getting near
It’s hard for me to scream with worry
When I can’t see and I can’t hear
Don’t kill me fast – there is no hurry
Make it hurt until I’m buried

Will you do it if I ask you?

Dread and glory so distracting
As you destroy I beg for more
You leave a scar across my face
I can’t see who I was before
Magnify your hate and fill this place
Please don’t slow but keep your pace

Will you do it if I ask you?

The World Revolves for Ruby

December 20th, 2008 | Category: Poem

Ruby sees all that she can see
And the world belongs to her
It spins to keep her warm
And tilts to catch her fancy
The rain washes her hair
And the wind dries her curls
The sand covers her steps
To protect her from man
With Ruby the world is right again

Ruby dances when the birds sing
And sleeps when the moon lights the night
The trees offer shade
And Ruby sings to them in gratitude
The stars dance for Ruby and make her smile
The rainbow leads Ruby to happiness
And she is safe along its course
Guarded from envy and man
With Ruby the world is right again
