Your Impact is Infinite

May 15th, 2008 | Category: Poem

Wisdom measured in words
Love in purest action
Oneness in time together
And raw satisfaction

If the wind blew through your hair
It would stop and caress each strand
As if it found an enchanting home
In some wondrous and magical land

If the sun kissed your lips
It would pause its heavenly travel
Lingering at that sweet contact
Its ball would soon unravel

If the moon met your gaze
It would soon melt away
There’d be nothing left of it
To hold the waters in their sway

If the stars could sense your touch
They’d twinkle just for you
And follow you in your walks
Like one in love would do

If the universe could somehow know your love
The simple would become intricate
For when in the focus of your love
Your impact is impossibly infinite

When You Lose Something You Shouldn’t

May 13th, 2008 | Category: Poem

There is no blame when you’ve done nothing wrong
Like pick the wrong words when writing a song
Or when something goes that should have stayed
Nothing to do when things go this way

Pain and regret wash over your soul
Makes you feel broken and far less than whole
Comfort will come as soon as it can
For all things that happen follow a plan

Those who love you share in your pain
And wish that this sorrow never visits again
Desire to take your hurt but we couldn’t
When my dear you’ve lost something you shouldn’t

Be at peace knowing that right
Will be by your side through the days and the nights
And as you stop looking for that which was lost
It will be found again no matter the cost

Those who think about you day and night
Want to make this tale turn out right
Desiring to take your hurt but we couldn’t
When my dear you’ve lost something you shouldn’t
