An Angel with Silver Wings
She masters many things
Beauty not least of all
And she carries hope and love
Enough to head the call
Of love between them both
She gives more than takes
Bends before breaks
Smiles over frowns
More ups and less downs
And she has silver wings
She puts him first
To love and to cherish
Sacrifices herself– so he won’t perish
Willing to give
So that he might live
And she has silver wings
She holds him up
When he might fall
She answers sweetly
When she hears his call
She holds him tight
When he’s wrong or he’s right
And she has silver wings
She warms his heart
When he is cold
She doesn’t fret or let it get old
She kisses softly
When he needs affection
She keeps her eyes
Always in his direction
And she has silver wings
She masters many things
His heart not least of all
And he answers sweetly
When he hears her gently call
His angel appears to him
When he needs her close
From nearby– so fast appearing
His pulse quickens
She is nearing
To be with him now and forever
They will always be together
And She Has Silver Wings

Love is invisible to most
But not to all
Some can see the telling whisper of kindness
Or the ghost of a loving glance
Or sense the remembrance of a touch shared
Possibly see the trail of pollen on the table
From the flowers he gave her yesterday
Even see colored paper—torn and broken
From a gift given in love
See the flicker in someone’s eyes when they meet those of their lover
Love isn’t invisible to all
Just to most
Love is silent to most
But not to all
Some hear the whisper of a lover
Maybe see the trail of a loving phrase
Or sense the tone he uses with his Love
Perceive the faint echoes of “I love you” and “I love you too”
Feel the reverberation of a kiss that was just right
Embracing tight causes shivers a butterfly can sense
Listen to a message left wishing her a great day
When his was bad and getting worse
Love isn’t silent to all
Just to most
Love is cold to most
But not to all
Maybe feel the heat of a long touch
Or the fire passion kindles
Radiation that desire puts in the air
And the warmth from a loving look
The heat when two bodies touch
Long enough but not—at the same time
The heat between me and you
The fire started by windswept walks on a beach
Love isn’t cold to all
Just to most
So you can see love if you look
You can hear love if you listen
In the morning love is like Sunshine on a cold field
It warms and brings to life
Those in the glow
Morning Glory
That’s Love’s Story
